Computer programming is the process of designing and creating a set of instructions that tell a computer how to perform a task. Programming can be done using a variety of computer “languages,” such as SQL, Java, Python, and C++. Programming involves tasks such as analysis, generating algorithms, profiling algorithms’ accuracy and resource consumption, and the implementation of algorithms in a chosen programming language. Programming is sometimes referred to as coding.
